Trees and plants are an essential part of our life. They are essential resources for everyday life. The destruction of the green environment and nature has reached levels that are now having a detrimental effect on Earth and with it on people’s lives. Dirty air, melting icecaps and natural disasters... The picture seeks to show the ex- cessive exploitation of the earth’s tree population and its harmful effects, specifically in relation to transport and its associated carbon emissions. It does so with a motif that is familiar to all. In every car there is a car air freshener, designed to keep the air inside the car fresh, as the air outside is dirty and smelly. The main motif of the picture is based on this phenomenon and replaces the well-known „Wunderbaum” car freshener with a freshly cut wood scent. The image deliberately displays several wood textures and colours. The back is made of glued wood composite, while raw wood slats were used for the frame.
